Being able to demonstrate social responsibility as part of a company’s ESG obligations and offerings is an important part of doing business today.

 

We offer a unique opportunity to participate by purchasing CORAL CREDITS as part of an inclusive and normalised schedule of operations.  The following examples are given by way of explanation as to how this unique opportunity works.

RESPONSIBLE PORTS

Can participate when 1 CORAL CREDIT is purchased for each ship movement. These credits can be accumulated for either trade, or for future use.

CRUISE SHIP COMPANIES

Can participate by adding 1/10th of a CORAL CREDIT to every passenger booking.

SMALL BUSINESS OPERATORS

Those who provide services and experiences for tourism, boating, fishing, diving and the like, or those that base their ventures on the oceans, can participate by adding 1/10th of a CORAL CREDIT to every booking.

CORPORATES

Particularly those such as sunscreen brands, can align themselves in support of coral and market a contribution from every sale.

PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND ME

In fact, anyone who enjoys and appreciates the wonders of our ocean, can make voluntary contributions or operate social awareness and fundraising drives.

What are Coral Credits?

We are securing the future of coral by creating a market-led solution that bridges the gap between industry and the coral marine ecosystems.

We propose that for the price of $950 USD, clients can purchase, and then leave on site, one square metre of growing coral.

Reef plates’ are rectangular.

Now, imagine the growing reef virtually divided into 1-metre squares (like a large chess board).

A coral section equates to one square meter, made up of 100 coral credits. Each coral section invites an investment of USD $950, (or part thereof in coral credits at 1/100 of the value at USD $9.50).

Each purchase will be represented by a unique position reef number that will be held on a register within Coral Futures Corporation – no different than client details for shares being held in the corporate offices of a publicly listed company.

Although it is expected this ownership will be enhanced by a certified tokenisation at some point in 2023, Coral Futures Corporation will still hold easily accessible records of the ownership of each square meter of coral reef.
